It's that time of year to show off your work at the Bridal Shows. Why not take this time to showcase some of your latest work in an album? Albums are a key way to add profitability to your business and to give your clients something tangible to enjoy their photos.

It's a great time to turn that favorite session into a sample for the Studio too. You have already made that album for a client so why not make another one to add to your sales tools? We offer 50% off Studio Samples all year round. If you need your sample for a show, be sure to select a date that you need your album in hand by so that we can get it to you in time.

Making a success of your Bridal Show display and approach depends on good planning. Annuj from Impressions by Annuj says, "For bridal shows I must make sure my booth turns heads and I get good placement so when people come in they see me almost immediately."

10 Tips to Make Your Bridal Show a Success

Here some excellent tips from James Day - James Day Photography.

1. Know what your purpose is before you get there. Is it to raise awareness of your brand, make bookings today, make future bookings, build relationships in the industry? Rank each one and their importance for you.

2. Take a past happy client with you. Have them bring their album and if you have a couple in mind that didn't purchase an album, make the investment and gift them one. Simply have your client start the conversation with other couples for you. Perhaps have them ask, “can I show you my wedding album” then after spending time pre qualifying them for you, then they can hand them over to you.

3. Have a way to stay in touch. Give the people a reason to give you their contact details. Also make sure you leave something with them so you stay on their mind.

4. Don’t start each interaction by asking what their wedding date is. So many people do this and it really annoys people! Instead ask them something non wedding related and show an interest in who they are as people.

5. Stand out and be different. There are likely to be multiple photographers there. Whatever you can do to be memorable will help you make more of an impression.

6. Don’t forget to meet other vendors. Take the time out to introduce yourself to the other people exhibiting there. They’ll potentially be your new biggest referrer and your new best friend!

7. Make sure you have multiple sample albums handy to show people. Have them beautifully presented, fresh and clean. Show off your ideal client purchase, not a basic album with fewer pages. Have a consistency between the books to help cement your style and offering to the couple.

8. Talk to everyone! Don’t just pick and choose those to single out. The lady who you thought was the mother of the bride might actually be the one getting married!

9. Have fun! People will be drawn to you and your booth if you have a great smile and fun demeanor.

10. Have a few people hanging around your booth. Ask your friends to come visit etc. Having people at your booth will just attract more people.
