What Is A Vision Art Book And How Can I Use It In My Branding?

"Do not try to do everything. Do one thing well."- Steve Jobs.

At Vision Art, we agree with Steve Jobs and aim to do one thing well; provide you with the best album, period.

What does that mean? It means we are committed and invested in you. We understand how hard it is to run a business and stand out in an oversaturated market. Our goal is to provide you with the best album so you can inject revenue into your business and live the life you want. What is a Vision Art book? And, can I make it fit my brand and client's needs?

The Book

At Vision Art, we have learned to keep things simple and offer only one fantastic book. A true lay flat, with seamless museum-quality spreads and archival ink prints. Offering one book doesn't mean limited; in fact, we pride ourselves on providing a highly customizable book (Check out the math). We have a book for every budget, client, and brand. What can you customize with a Vision Art book?

Cover

We offer five cover options: Full Wrap, 3/4 Binding, Photo Strip, Cameo, and Messenger. All of which come in 20 different sizes and 150 cover materials. "Less is more" is overrated. More is more. As a photographer, you are documenting millions of shades of emotions, and your book should be able to keep up.

Deboss

Customize any cover, spine, endsheet, photo mat, or presentation box with one-of-a-kind debossing. Choose from 18 foil colors along with a clear and blind deboss. You can even add a deboss to a spread. Ask us how?

Paper

Choose from our fine art paper in two thicknesses, Think or Thin, and four paper finishes. The matte finish is our standard option which has archival inks printed on uncoated fine art paper. Our coated matte is an added coating to our matte finish that offers an extra layer of water-resistant protection. Photo finish is a glossier coating that has a bit of texture and is fingerprint and water-resistant. Luster is an added coating with a slight shine that resists fingerprints and water.

Accessories

You can protect your client's investment by protecting their album with a display box, slipcase, or dust jacket. Each display box is hand-crafted to fit your book's design. Display Boxes can be made to accommodate more than one book and be customized with all the same options as any book cover. Slipcases provide low-profile protection that can be customized with any of our full cover and debossing options. Dust jackets are available in full or partial sizes, and the inside flaps can be used for additional designs or Studio information.

Like your client's experience, no two books are the same. We offer you the opportunity to create something as unique as your client.

Branding

At first glance, this can seem overwhelming or daunting. You may even doubt your brand fits well with albums. How can you pick something consistent with your brand from so many options?

First, identify what you like that catches your eye (take a look at our gallery for inspiration). Does a more traditional size, 10x10, appeal to you? Or do you like a more classic modern approach, with a size that appears more like an actual book, such as 9x12? Take this same approach to narrow down material options. Are you more drawn to leather that patina's over time, than our Full Grain Leather is a great place to start. Or do you want to offer only vegan options than take a look at our Eco Leather options.

Second, put your stamp on it - literally, with debossing your logo. It doesn't have to be so your in face that it's obnoxious to your client, but putting your stamp on it lets everyone know where they can go if they want a book of their own. You can put your logo on the presentation box, on the back cover, front cover, or anywhere else you see fit.  It can even be hidden in plain sight by doing a blind deboss.

Lastly, have your client and photography style in mind. Do you shoot more landscapes? A horizontal album may be your style. Do you shoot mainly seniors? They may want something unique that stands out, such as a panovista. Try to think about how your clients will primarily use the album. A pet photographer or a family photographer is more likely to have clients share their albums with sticky hands or have liquids around the book. In that case, a coated matte paper finish and coated book cloth that is easy to wipe off messes is a good option.

By partnering with Vision Art, you can gain peace of mind. We specialize in albums, album experts, if you will. There is no need to worry about upset customers who, after a few years, notice that the pictures are fading, the binding is weakening, and the cover is starting to unravel. You won't lose out on business because a would-be customer ended up going with someone else based on the higher quality album they offer. Instead, you'll be known for providing high-end products, having repeat customers, standing apart from your competitors, and most importantly, injecting revenue into your business so you can live the life you want. With Vision Art, you can provide an album you're proud of.
